The Techalogic DC-2 Pro camera is a game-changer when it comes to capturing your motorbike adventures. With its lightweight compact design, it easily mounts onto your helmet allowing you to record your experiences hands-free in both directions. I had previously been looking at a bike mounted front and rear camera or a dash cam solution like the Innov K3 but this more than covers it. One of the best features of the DC-2 Pro is its high-quality video recording capabilities. It boasts a stunning 2k full HD resolution which gives sharp, crystal clear footage, even in some heavy rainfall. I was really impressed. You can take still images as well as video and they are just as clear. Another thing that surprised and impressed me was the cameras wide angle lenses which captured far more than I was expecting. From a safety perspective this could be invaluable. Another fantastic feature is the built-in Wi-Fi connectivity which allows you to connect the camera to your smartphone using the dedicated app. The footage is synced instantly for streaming and then you can download the ones you want to save. It also allows you to share your videos easily on WhatsApp (other messaging services are available lol) When you switch the camera on and off it vibrates to let you know it has worked. The two functions have distinctly different vibration patterns so you can tell which one is which. When stationary it can be detected easily but I found it difficult at higher speeds. That said I’m still getting used to it and usually would not be switching the camera on or off while riding. I installed a 128 Gb micro SD which holds plenty of footage. Battery life is good and I tested the water resistance to the max yesterday on my ride home. I’ve read it has some safety features which I’ve not tested yet such as overwriting when the card is full and locking footage if there is an accident. I think this does it by using sudden changes to movement with force. Not intending to road test this one. Overall, I’m really impressed with the size, battery, quality and price compared to other options and cannot wait to get out and use it some more.
